CD & Thrush

Thread Starter

My LO and I have a thrush infection. I'd like to use sunlight as a disinfectant as much as possible, but when I can't hang the diapers out to dry, any suggestions on how much bleach to use as a disinfectant when washing the diapers? Or other suggestions?

Thanks!

I don't know about bleach, but grapefruit seed extract is supposed to be great for killing fungus. GL :)

DD2 and I had a thrush infection four months ago that caused me to go to all prefolds. I used a combination of pouring already-diluted 10-to-1 bleach solution in the bleach compartment in my washing machine, and I also experimented with GSE and TTO. Sunlight is a HUGE help, though! Oh yeah, and the prefolds I also boiled--that's one of the reasons I went to all prefolds.

We had some really bad thrush. I never used bleach, but super hot water and lots of vinegar. Sun wasnt really an option either.
