Can I see pictures of your playroom? I need some inspiration!

We are currently in the deciding stages of what we want to do with the boys soon-to-be playroom and I'm stuck on what color to paint the walls and all of that good stuff.  DS1 has a ton of toys and so does DS2 (passed down from DS1).  They also have a TON of books, there will be a TV for movie watching and there is already a unit like this one: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3509991 in DS1's closet that we'll use.  We have an art easel, small table with two chairs and some plastic crates as well.  There will also be a train table as well.  The room is 13x13, roughly?

So, lend me your ideas, your pictures, your thoughts, suggestions - anything.  I need some inspiration!!!

We have somewhat the same things in our playroom (no pics, sorry, I'm a work).  I try to contain most of the toys in a huge rubbermaid-ish container with a lid.  They have a bookshelf that the tv sits on and the shelves hold all their board games, legos, videogames, etc.

I've rearranged this room so many times to make the most of the space.  Right now the toy box, a couple bins of other toys and the bookshelf are along one wall and the opposite walls has the table, a small shelf of art supplies, the easel and a couch.  Which leaves them a good amount of open space to play in.

No worries.  I've got a mental picture of what you're talking about.  Do your boys share a room?

No they have their own rooms.  But the rooms have their bed, dresser and some of their treasured toys and that's it.

We have a long rectangle room downstairs that is 1/2 playroom and 1/2 videogame room. The game room has 1 long wooden toy box (used previously for tack), one air hockey table, one lego table, 1 train table and lots of small bins that house toys by type.

However, in my kids rooms they have a table with containers under it, whihc is wonderful for art.

We also homeschool...so my entire house in a toy room LOL.

We have this on one wall, though we have 4 columns of shelves instead of two.

The kids use the table for Play-Doh and coloring and most of their toys are in baskets on the shelves.  We also have one of those units laid on it's side for all of their books.

I'm currently working on the playroom, so no pictures, yet. It's probably not going to be picture ready until after Christmas. shy.gif

However, I love going to Pottery Barn Kids for ideas. http://www.potterybarnkids.com/room/rom/romply/?cm_type=gnav

You could also google search "playroom" and look at the images that come up. My favorites are:
