Changing Number of Posts Per Page

Thread Starter

i noticed while browsing Q&S that some old features are being considered for development.

I was wondering if customizing the number of posts per page could be added to the list.

Currently it seems like it's set at 20 posts, which make longer threads very difficult to read. It also makes the browsing process in itself slower. Perhaps it might even result in a faster running platform for MDC?

If this is connected to revenue somehow, perhaps it could be a 'paid' feature like ad-free browsing? If there is anything I can do to see if there is enough interest in a feature like this, please let me know.

Thanks,

Texmati!

Hi texmati! wave.gif

The posts per page are not the factor with the slow loading of pages. There are other sites run on the Huddler platform that have higher traffic than we do and they are not having slow loading issues. Just wanted to clarify that. orngbiggrin.gif

We're discussing the posts per page and haven't yet decided on increasing them or not. But we have placed the pay feature on the table as an idea and that is something we're looking at developing. Once we have a good idea of what we plan to do and when that might be available we'll let you know. We're thinking to start a "Release" thread or perhaps a subforum to announce all new releases that address bug fixes, performance and functionality improvements and new features. smile.gif
