Miserable baby! Comfort measures for the flu?

HELP!  My baby girl is 13 months and will not stop crying.  She has a bug that I have.  For me it was fever, sore throat and body aches.  She has a fever and is all congested and won't stop crying.  What comfort measures can do?  Anyway to calm and soothe her?  I am sitting and holding her and nursing whenever she wants. 

My mom suggested popsicles but I don't think I should give her something cold and sugary.

Forgive me for asking what is probably a dumb question, but have you given her acetaminophen or ibuprofen? The only time I give them is when my baby is clearly uncomfortable or in pain, and they work well for that.

I finally did give her tylenol.  Seemed to help abit.  Anything else? TY!

Humidifiers will help her breathe and make her nose more comfy. Something like Vicks rub (but you can just use the essential oils) might help open her airways a bit. Frozen grapes or very cold water may sooth her throat. If you cosleep, perhaps you can put the Vicks rub or essential oils on your person so she can breathe them without possible skin irritation.

If she won't nurse because she is too stuffy, then expressing milk into a cup or spoon feeding it to her will help to keep her hydrated, and to fight off the bug.

We put eucalyptus in the humidifier.  She seems to be nursing ok.  The congestion is thin and watery so she isn't completly blocked.  I tried the saline nose drops last night she got really mad.  She seems to have a very short fuse right now and just does not want to be messed with at all.  She even gets mad at the other kids when they try to play with her.  Ugh this can't be over soon enough.
