Looking "professional" and "my age" with tiny visible tattoo--cover it with earings?

Okay, this is total fluff, but I was curious about others' perceptions.  One of my ears looks like this:

Basically, it ended up tattooed from wearing cheap earings as a teenager. I'm going to be interviewing for some painfully professional jobs in the next year or so, and I was wondering how bad you all think this looks.  I don't like having my hair down, so covering it that way for interviews isn't a practical option.  I sometimes wear earings to cover them, but it doesn't cover them completely and then I've got a bunch of earrings in....when I graduated we were advised to wear one pair of simple studs (or pearls, or whatever) for interviews...and that was only in '06. 

Generally, I really don't care what others think, but in an interview, well, you are being judged, and if a tiny, weird looking tattoo gives an older person an uncomfortable "vibe", I don't want that to be the thing that makes or breaks the impression I make.  I guess I could think about having them laser-removed, but I'm not sure about the cost, whether it would be worth it, etc.

So what do you all think?  Totally overreacting?  Be honest!

I would notice this, because i live in a world of crazy details, but i don't think i'd judge you on it!  LOL.  I mean, it looks like a mark, it's not like you have little swastikas tattooed in there!  If you're super uncomfortable a bit of concealer and some powder foundation over the top would probably reduce it so much it'd just look like a shadow?

It doesn't really have an definable shape like a tattoo so I don't know that I'd assume it was one. Could you use a little foundation or something cover it more?

 This is what I was going to suggest.  A little bit of foundation should cover it enough so it's barely noticeable.

If hair is the only way to cover it up then I'd do it whether it was my normal look or not, but I'd try makeup first.

I think it's probably barely noticeable. I would try make-up rather than earings way up on your ear like that. Even if the make-up only covers it a little, that will help enough. I would also suggest covering it with hair - BUT you should feel totally comfortable, 100% confident in your skin, hair, clothes and make-up for an interview. So if hair down makes you self-conscious- don't do it.

It almost looks like a birthmark.  Many professional and semi professional positions frown on cartilage piercings so foundation would be your best best.

I think it looks like it could possibly be a mole even. I wouldn't do earrings there, but that's just me. ( I had piercings all the way up and now never wear any, lol). If it makes you uncomfortable to have visible I'd try a bit of concealer as suggested too.

I agree that it just looks like a birthmark or mole or something.  I wouldn't worry about it at all.  However, if you do want to cover it, I would use foundation or concealer.  I would think that would work well enough.

I think wearking earrings will just draw more attention to it. I'd maybe just dab a little concealer so it isn't so apparent - no need to completely cover it IMO.

I know that they sell special makeup that is just for covering up tattoos. The permanent solution would be to have the marks removed by laser, but that is costly. I don't think the marks look too bad but if it were me and I wanted to cover them, I would opt for the makeup.

Duh, makeup.  Don't know why I didn't think of that!  That is probably what I'll do.  Since I have some time, I'll look in to costume-type makeup, maybe.

I agree with the makeup option.  Dry something like Dermablend.  You can even go to a store that sells it, see if they can find the best product and color for you, and if you're happy with the results, you can buy the product.
