Any Doula's here? (UK)

I had no idea where to post this, so if I have put it in the wrong place.........

I'm in the UK and I am interested about becoming a Doula..

Does anyone have any helpful hints on becoming a doula - do Doula's have any medical training, and are they responsible for any testing (Such as the usual, Blood pressure, Pee sticks for glucose etc.)

I'd love to become a Doula, and I'm interested in getting my career started (I am 25).

Any help most appreciated :)
