My Radian was in the garage for 3 months. I brought a Marathon on a plane trip with us because I prefer to travel with it. When we got back, I didn't switch back to the Radian. I would like to switch seats now. However, when I went to get the Radian out of the garage, I found that the straps are moldy. According to the manual, I can use "warm water and mild soap" but I can't submerge the straps. I have been able to "rub" some of the visible mold off. Do you think if I do this and then clean it with mild soap that is enough? Or will there still be invisible mold? I am trying to decide whether to clean them or just buy new straps.

Vinegar is NOT ok, do not do this, even if diluted. Â It will kill the mold, but it will ruin the straps too. Â A little very mild soap (think baby wash), and a damp washcloth is all you can do. Â I would just replace them though if you can.Â
