"Baby Calm" magnesium supplement

Has anyone used this product- "baby calm" magnesium supplement?

I came accross it in my search of how to help my very constipated 8 month old. I don't really know anything about magnesium, or its effect on a baby. I plan to ask my pediatrician about it before  considering giving it to my baby. but I also wanted to hear if anyone else has used this, and what they think of it.

also I would like to hear anything about giving magnesium to babies. I know milk of magnesia is a common constipation cure but I don't know if it is safe for babies. Obviously baby calm is marketed for babies but I don't know anything about it.

I've been wondering about this too. I haven't found any, but I take calm sometimes. I realized that I needed more magnesium while preg and had lots of preterm labor. I read up on it and realized most americans are deficient. Anyways, I would say it's safe for your LO, but I'm no expert. Also taking baths w/epsom salt gives you some magnesium so you could try that in your babe's bath water if you're feeling reluctant to try it orally. It realy does help w/bms, but might have to for a few days. I would start w/a small dosage and keep going every day till a BM. It's also supposed to be calming and ease muscle tension!
