I am cooking a turkey on Dec 27..
I have ordered a local, organic turkey that will be delivered Dec 24. Â It will be approx 20 pounds. Â I'm wondering whether it's safe to not freeze the turkey. Â Actually, I'm concerned that it won't be possible to fully freeze and fully thaw the bird in those three days anyhow!

But, is it safe to leave refrigerated? Â To help, I can keep it in our "spare" fridge in the garage that only gets plugged in for receiving monthly co-op orders. Â That would keep it at a consistent temp without an opening and closing door.
