So, I teach Hebrew school at our synagogue... K-1st grade. I was thinking of making Elijah cups for Passover. These are cups of wine set out for Elijah hopefully coming to tell us that now the earth will be at peace.
Usually, they are very decorated. I think I can get the plain wine glasses pretty cheap at Goodwill 1/2 day.
But how do I decorate them? Is there a glue for beads/"jewels" that I can use with littles (ie- not superglue or gluegun) that will adhere to glass? Is there a paint? I've never done this before...
They are not really used for drinking, so giant worries there with stuff. It does not need to be food safe. And, my kids are young, but they are not going to eat the supplies or anything, but I don't want to use superglue or hotglue. Permanent paints are OK. It does, however, have to be "gently washable" (meaning it will not fall apart or run or something when it comes it contact with wine or water to rinse it off).
