The Eternal Night Sucker - Page 2

sounds like he is suckling for the comfort and love of it and not so much for the milkies...

not sure how you feel about them, but what about a ...soother??  If he would take one it could possibly let you sleep longer and be able to continue sleeping beside your little guy... so when he wakes, don't offer the boob each time, sometimes just your upside down finger or a soother.

I find I usually see soother suckers just ditching it by the time they are two-ish anyways.

my daughter was a huge sucker from the beginning.  boob, soother, upside down finger.  she uses soother only at night now. we co-sleep too.

sucking calms and comforts them babys.

there are a bunch of different styles to try as well!  ;0)

well babies change a lot ...sometimes by the week. do you not want to intro pacis? i personally didn't but i also can sleep through every night feed, most the time we don't even stir, baby just latches on after 5ish months.

and usually my kids would nurse a lot if they were in pain (teething) at night or learning a new skill/milestone (sitting, rolling, crawling etc)

yes, you need to sleep!  good luck, you'll find a way! Do whatever works for both of you.
