My ds has an anaphylactic allergy to peanuts and eggs (only in plain or raw form, in baking he's fine). I suspect a milder allergy to milk and soy as well as he often threw up the few times when he drank it. He is still recovering from Whooping Cough, which he got in early August, he already has a strong gag reflex, combined with the coughing means he throws up easily. He has not been able to have any dairy- goats or soy milk since he got the WC as it increases his coughing, even now, nearly 4 months later.  He is still nursing, but I am mostly dried up (PCOS), thankfully it got him through the worst of the WC when he would eat almost nothing on bad days. He is 2 years old and weighs 25 lbs, he was nearly 9 lbs at birth and has been a slow grower ever since. I need to up the fat content in his diet. He has tolerated almond milk fairly well before he was diagnosed with the peanut allergy (he reacted immediately with swelling, hives, itching, etc after an accidental first exposure last month) but it doesn't have much fat. He can tolerate cheese but not too much or he gags and pukes easily. He cannot have yogurt atm due to the cough. He goes in January for allergy testing so I have a better picture of what to feed him. He hates avocado, and isn't crazy about meat. Other than that he eats a pretty healthy diet, not picky about fruits and veggies, always eats whole grains/alternative grains, etc.Â

Anyhow, someone suggested trying coconut milk. The only kind I can find is in the can (coconut extract and water) and it is quite thick and very high in fat (20 g per cup). So I mixed 1/2 cup in with 3/4 cup rice milk to see if would tolerate it. He made some sour faces but kept it down, but he doesn't like it, I tried adding a bit of honey too. He's barely drank any of it today.Â
