im really depressed about it. i was 238 when i gave birth and got down to 161 and now its all coming right back. i have NO motivation! im so tired all the time i just feel beat. i never exercised before though...the weight just "flew" off

Yes, that can make a huge difference. Day-to-day activity is a huge part of our daily calorie burn that people don't pay much attention to. A person can work really hard at the gym, but if they're completely sedentary the rest of the time they're still going to be burning fewer calories than someone who's up on their feet moving around all day, and carrying a few extra pounds in the form of baby wearing burns even more calories.

Eating out/takeout can really rack up the calories too.

Also, assuming there's nothing pathological causing your fatigue, the very best remedy for it is exercise. I know, it's the last thing you want to do when you're already feeling exhausted, but even committing to a 15 minute brisk walk 3 time a week will work wonders, and it's very likely that once you get started you'll feel better and exercise will get easier.
