I'm officially out..  Thank you for the postitive thoughts though!  I spent the night in the ER with severe cramps and bleeding, and the doctor says that I have a fairly large clot in my uterus that is trying to work it's way out.  I'm sad, but I feel like this baby will come back to us someday.

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy nine months!

I'm so sorry Vegemamato. greensad.gif

Oh vegemamato! I'm so sorry! greensad.gif hug.gif Wishing you healing.

Tear, hi! I remember you from a couple different ttc threads over the years now. Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! praying.gif for stickies for you!

Since we're sharing more info while we're waiting... I have had 2 early miscarriages (May and July 2009) and this is the first time I have gotten pregnant after that. My bfps for the first 2 were *extremely* faint, to the degree that I was not even 100% sure they were there. This time around I have already poas twice and they have been extremely dark both times, and yesterday the result line was even darker than the test line, which, even though it doesn't necessarily mean anything, I find comforting. Last time I had hardly any symptoms either and this time I have had sporadic cramping and boob swollenness/soreness so hopefully that is good. fingersx.gif

I have also been having some food aversions, which is unusual for me. Red meat in particular sounds really nauseating, and for a couple days in a row now I have had to struggle to eat the perfectly good dinners that dh has made. In fact almost nothing really sounds good. And my digestive system just feels sort of... off. Like I just had or am about to have a stomach flu. I have been getting over a nasty cold, but that doesn't typically give me this feeling. Is this the beginning of morning sickness?? I have never had it so have no idea what it feels like.

Can't wait to get to know you all!

vegemamato hug2.gif...so sorry for your loss....

ursu, that sounds just like morning sickness. i especially hate red meat during the first weeks of pregnancy and red meat increases acidity in our body so we particularly should avoid it during the morning sickness as it makes us even more sick. I am always sick during my first months in my pgs.....so it's all usual to me....

I am so sorry Vegemamato.  Peace to you and your family as you get through it.

Thats how my BFPs were.  Of course now my lack of symptoms the last 24 hrs has me a tad nervous, so I think I'll go pee on my last digi to make sure I still am.  I was averse to raw chicken meat with DS, nothing so far yet.  I also craved grapefruit like it was going out of style, some say citrus cravings are boy.

Does anyone have foggy urine?  I had it with DS but I don't this time, just wondering whats up.....

Don't be nervous! I have heard many stories of mamas who had barely-there bfps and/or no symptoms and went on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies. I know a darker bfp doesn't mean anything, it's just a psychological boost for me because of my history.

Interesting about the citrus. One of the things that doesn't disgust me at all are clementines/oranges and I typically eat almost no citrus. No idea about foggy urine though, haven't checked mine.

Ekatherina, interesting about the meat and acidity. Typically I really like me some (ethically sourced) red meat, but yeah, now it's blech... I've been eating mung beans, even though they are a little gross too, because my tcm practitioner said I NEED them right now lol.gif to keep my strength up with being sick and everything. Well I can see why she said that anyway as they are full of folate and protein and very mineral-rich and easy to digest. With some sour cream or olive oil and vinegar they go right down :)

bookwormommy - Regarding morning sickness...I am waiting for mine!  It's my first pregnancy and I am 5w2d.  We had to finally go through IVF to get our BFP, and I am having a hard time settling into feeling like I'm really preggers.  So, for me, morning sickness would be nice to have!  (I know I'll probably regret writing that later.)

mayakas - Funny you should mention being "first" in the DDC.  I'm due really early in August, so I could potentially join the July DDC, but I want to be one of the first posters so I can get to know people from the beginning.  innocent.gif  Weird, I know.

vegemamato - Oh, hon.  I am so sorry.  I am not sure anything I can say with comfort you, but here's a  hug2.gif

AFM -  I wrote on another forum about a really funny craving I've been having.  Banana peppers!  Covered in bbq seasoning (from Rendevous in Memphis).  It's pretty weird, but I have a little plate every night.  You'd think the acidity would drive my stomach nuts (I get heartburn even when not pg)!

I've been waiting for the August list too!

I'm due Aug 6. My partner and I have been trying for close to 2.5 years, at home with donor sperm, Dr assisted  IUI, and this time, IVF, which seems to have worked.

It is so strange to have been trying to do one thing for so long, without any success, and then it magically, or really not so much magic, mostly lots of science, works.

We are both so happy.

I'm 36 and was afraid I'd waited too long.

I'm looking forward to being part of this community.

vegemamato - I'm so sorry.  You're in my thoughts today.

Tear78 - it sounds like you've worked hard to get here.  Sending you sticky wishes!

ursusarctos - I first read your post as "raw meat sounds nauseating" and I was thinking, well, yeah...  Your symptoms sound like early morning sickness to me too.  I hope it doesn't get too severe.  One of the things that made me think I was pg was that I completely lost my desire for sugar, which seemed so weird. I really like sweets, but now, nothing.  I've even had dessert a couple times just to test it, and while they don't repulse me, they just aren't tasty.  With DD I really wanted fruit, which I usually don't eat much.   Can I ask what your username means (if you want to share)?

Maurine - I see where you're coming from, but in another month I might have to remind you that you said that!  (I'll try to be kind)  Congrats on your BFP.  First babies are extra exciting!

Welcome kredmon, and congratulations!  You've worked hard to get here too.  I'm impressed by your persistance - yours is a really wanted baby!

Just wondering, since I'm almost the ripe old age of, ahem, 43, am I the resident grannnie here so far?

How exciting that there are 3 Boston area mommies on this DDC!

Although, I am just over 5 weeks and some change, I have had a shift today where I don't feel like I am walking on eggshells as much. I am starting to allow acceptance that this is really happening. Eight weeks is when I will really exhale.

Anyone feeling really excited without caution?

Just had acupuncture today. So worth it!

That is exactly what I said when I was pg with Chase.  And then I remember being 8 weeks, sitting at my desk, sucking on a preggo pop, being hot and sweaty and wet mouthed, calling my mother saying "i know I asked for this, but it can go away now!".....but I am with you again, can't wait for it to set in!

Wow, congratulations to you and your partner.  Lots of love and patience, spells good things for mommyhood!

Wow 3 of us, yay! I'll have people that understand what May and June is like when my TV gets taken over (gladly) by Bruins and Celtics playoffs and my belly shots are in green or yellow.

I'll relax after 6 weeks, that was when we lost the 1st in 2007, so thats my marker I feel safe after.

Yay for acu, it totally helped us get PG with Chase.  I didn't do it this time, but I'll go throughout the pregnancy.

Took my first belly shot this afternoon, so surreal!  How am I back here again!?!?!?!

How often do you all go to acupunture?  I used it with our IVF, and I have it scheduled right now for every two weeks.  Is that enough?  It's expensive, so I may cut back even more...

Well here is where a local mamma is handy. Stop paying full price and sign up for a weekly clinic at the NE School of Acupuncture. You get a standing appointment each week with the same final year student supervised by a faculty member, but you can cancel the weeks you can't go. It is $40 and about one hour and 15 minutes each time.

I actually share the clinic with my DH so between the two of us, we can make most appointments.

or find a community acupuncture studio with a sliding scale and shorter appointments.  I go to a guy out here for $15-$30/hr but there could be 4 people with me.  Never has been more than me though, and his sessions are just as good or better as my $75/90min sessions I did in Cambridge when pg with C.
