I've started using Coconut Oil as moisturizer. I used it on my body because the lotions I have weren't working (I can only use soap once a week as it is)

Well, DH used it on his skin and it worked wonderfully...his skin gets irritated and flaky and this made it so much better so I figured I'd try it too. Now, a few days into it, the skin on my face is red and irritated like a sunburn! It even burns the same. I looked up "coconut oil causing inflammation" and it said to rub some on your forearm and see if it turns red because that indicates an allergy (to a low risk allergy food *eyeroll*) It didn't irritate my body skin; just the skin on my face. Is it just because the skin on my face is more sensitive? Or am I one of the few that's allergic to coconut oil?
