wow rachel i dunno why i never noticed before - 3 babies in 2.5 yrs - all sections - wow! and you only have 15lbs to lose - i'd be about 90stone haha

I actually reached my pre-preg weight at about 4 weeks post-partum, and am now a few lbs UNDER what I weighed before I got pregnant. Sounds great, right?! But actually, it's got very little to do with diet and exercise and much more to do with stress!! I tend to lose my appetite when I'm anxious, and those first couple of months post-partum were very challenging for me. That, plus breastfeeding voraciously hungry baby = skinny mama! I do actually wish I hadn't dropped the weight so quick, as I don't think it was particularly healthy. But it's plateaued now, and my appetite is back, so I don't think I'll be losing any more. Looking forward to getting back into an exercise routine in the New Year - I've missed my Ashtanga yoga class SO much this last few months, even though I know it's going to absolutely destroy me for those first few weeks!!

I'm still 13 pounds over pre pregnancy weight and I was only 15 pounds over at 2 weeks postpartum.  I'm looking forward to exercising in the new year, too!

LOL Yeah, I got lucky and lost most of the weight pretty easily... I am hoping to lose the rest fast!

is that where the muscle down the middle of the abdomen has a gap? i think i have that, and had it after DS too, can get two or three fingers in it haha. still after having DS i managed to get a six pack (a girly slight one) and it never really bothered me that i had a gap, i think i always will, cuz man oh man did i work out a lot and the gap was still there.... though if anyone knows any post-section-gap-eliminating-wonder exercise then pleeeease share, i'd love to try it out!

I've plateaued, too.  Lost 29 of 42 pounds quickly with no effort, but now I'm stuck!  Though consider I usually GAIN 5-10 pounds at the holidays, I'm happy with just maintaining.  After the holidays I plan on following the Eat Fat, Lose Fat diet, and I need to start my gym membership back up in February, probably.  I have a really hard time losing weight without regular exercise.

I'm like miso and lost all the weight within 2 weeks (tho I hadn't gained much to start with, which was a source of angst all of its own), but my body is so DIFFERENT now.  My stomach is all stretch marked and is a completely different shape...flat where it used to be round, weirdly.  And my belly button is stretched out and keeps getting very dry skin.  My nether bits are completely rearranged as well, which is taking some getting used to.  And the "most random pp body thing" award for me goes to my armpits, which have stopped growing hair.  WTH?  Also the hair on my head changed color from dark blonde to brown.  And of course the nursing boobs, which first just got much bigger than they've ever been and then started deflating.  I feel like I don't know my own body anymore - just about everything is different except maybe my face.  If all I had was a few pounds to lose instead of all this other weirdness I'd be much happier, I think!

i've got 10 lbs left to lose. i plateaued too a few weeks after birth but things picked back up again. been eating really well--lots of green smoothies and salads w/ homemade dressings, lean meats, etc. (i ditched bread and never have eaten sugar) it seems a shift has happened w/ baby getting bigger/older that now allows me more focus for myself. i can get my "fat" jeans on but they certainly don't look good yet. i'll be glad when i can get out of my skirts and lounge pants and dive into my wardrobe again. o, and i requested a gift card for the mall for xmas as i haven't been clothes shopping for myself in years, so that'll def add to the motivation.

I gained 40lbs total and I'm down 15, it sounds so low when I hear what all you other mamas have lost. So 26 more for me to loose, I'm hoping for about 5lbs a month and I should be back to prebaby weight in about 5 months.  Then I'll just have my normal 25lbs to loose, haha.  Maybe if I really stick it out all year I'll be looking really good by this time next year!

Holy crap!  The same thing has happened to me!!  And the weird thing is it never happened with my other three!  I've only been shaving my armpits once every two weeks because there just isn't any growth, whereas before I had to shave them every other day!!

DDCC My leg hair stopped growing after having my son. No idea why. I used to have to shave everyday or look like Sasquatch and now I can go 6 months without shaving and you'd never notice-the hair is also blonde instead of brown now. Super weird!

I had diastasis after both my boys.  There's a specific workout dvd out there but i've never seen it ... my diastasis has corrected on its own with normal workouts.  and by normal i mean lots of walking, carrying baby(s), some yoga, some swimming.  I have a hard time getting to the gym w/o childcare for DS2 since he's too young for the gym daycare still.

I did yoga (beginner hatha) again a week and a half ago.  It felt soooo good.  I'm looking forward to going again after the classes resume in the new year.  And then DS2 will be old enough I'll be able to hit the middle of the week classes too!

This time, I had lost all of the pregnancy weight by 3 weeks. Crazy! Last time it took 9 months. But, even though I'm now the same weight, nothing fits right. My boobs are much bigger and so is my muffin top.eyesroll.gif
