Telling "Explosive Child" about therapy.

Does anyone have any advice to how to tell a 7 year old "explosive child" that she is going to be starting some play-therapy? I'm not sure how well this is going to go over.

I might try an approach like, "You know how sometimes it's hard for you when (insert example here)? Well, I found someone who's going to help you learn some tools so you don't have to feel that way all the time."

No idea if that will resonate. Hope it goes well.

That's good. I also want to stress that DH and I will be going also, but not at the same time. I feel like it's our whole family dynamic. I wasn't stressing about it and then DH was all like- you tell her. And then I described my approach and he was like- basically you're going to trick her? No, I'm going to tell the school she has a doctors appointment and let her know we're going to see a lady who will help us all get along better and stop yelling so much.

Please let us know how it goes. I might have to tell my 7 year old explosive DD the same thing too.
