Let's see...

Slings in frequent rotation:
KKAFP
Kozy
Maya Pouch

Other slings:
OTSBH
Maya Wrap
Baby Nest sling
Ellaroo wrap
homemade rebozo
bjorn
homemade fleece wrap
KKACP
MamaBaby
Cotton Zolo
Evenflo frame backpack (for dh)

So that would be 14...which would make me a junkie :LOL

Slings I am coveting:
a longer wrap sling, maybe a Girasol
Ellaroo padded ring sling
hotsling
moby
silk zolo

Oh boy. Is there a 12 step program I could check myself into?

-Kate

ETA the slings I just bought

I have:

a Baby Bjorn type carrier - loaned to a friend

a WAHM ring sling - loaned to a friend

a Maya Wrap - regular sling right now

a KKAFP - was the regular sling, now too hot

and I should have a Kozy late this week or early next!!!

I am also about to order a Hotslings pouch for me and a Tentoes pouch for dh. If we get a pool pass, we'll probably get a Solarveil. I'm a sling juunkie wannabe!!

Wow I'm so glad I can count. I started the thread saying I had five, just went back and COUNTED THE ONES I LISTED , and realized I had six. Well, count me as a junkie, I suppose :LOL !

Well i just got into slings/ carriers when my dd was 13 months old or so. I tried the nojo with my son when he was first born... he just turned 4 on sunday.
I now have :

KKAFP love it! -but dd is getting a little heavy for it
Kozy -had it for about 4 weeks... pretty nice great weight distrubution.
Homemade fleese wrap -can't wait to try it with a new born.

What i want b4 the next baby comes along...
hotsling or some kinda "regular sling"
baby bjorn - think a friend is going to lend me one
KKACP- for the hot summers.

Well, I just bought my first sling early this morning (a Maya Wrap), but I know I will end up getting more, mainly so I can have a variety of colors! :LOL DH will need a sling too because I don't think he'll want to wear the multi-colored one I bought (fabric 37).

I voted one because of the title. I have:
a nojo
a snuggli that converts from a sling to a front carrier, although it's currently loaned out.

I'm waiting on a handmade sling from the TP and I just ordered an EBMT that I can't wait to get!

Well, let me list then I'll vote:

Baby Bjorn (used early on, dh likes it and I'm sure it'll get use with #2)

Nojo (yuck. period.)

Maya Wrap ( started my sling addiction.)

Cozy Baby Fleece pouch

Ergo (ok)

KK Solarveil ring sling

Old Gerry backpack from 80s... I actually really liked it. Lightweight, great for around the house. Easy to use.

Unknown frame backpack - given to us by my bil, purchased in England. Ok.

A pouch sling picked up at a garage sale and a ring sling I made that both sit in the back of the closet - need good homes!

So of these, my "staple" carriers were the Maya Wrap, Cozy Baby fleece pouch, and the Solarveil ring sling. I think these three round out my collection pretty well - although I want to buy a wrap for the new baby.

And then I'm done. Really. I am. I promise.

:LOL

I voted "2".

I have....

Baby Bjorn (which is retired because he outgrew it- it saved my sanity during ds's reflux days)

Kangaroo Korner Fleece Pouch (used from 3mos. to currently at 20 mos.! Love it!!!)

However, I do have to admit that I have tried several. If they didn't work for us I either returned them or resold them on the Trading Post. So, in that category I have bought and sold...

Nojo (awful! I could never get it snug enough)
Baby Back-Tie (DS didn't like it- couldn't get comfortable)
Ergo (I didn't like it- couldn't get comfortable)
Kissasling (didn't feel sturdy enough for me- sold it)

So I guess I could be considered a junky!!! :LOL

I voted 5+, but technically I don't have them all yet and some are listed on my site, lol

1 OTSBH which is only used in my babywearing classes

1 Wise Woman Fleece Adjustable Pouch/unpadded ring sling( I will be buying a Wise Woman Watersling)

The rest I made or will be making/started making this week

2 non-adjustable pouchs but I may have to buy different fabric for it this week, it's out of the same red material listed next. These aren't made yet.

2 red 5M wraps, I have to test it against my blue stretch wrap because this one may qualify as a stretch. I have to finish perfecting the edges.

1 blue 6M stretch wrap.

2 purple 6M wrap

2 3M purple wraps

2 peach 5 or 6M stretch wraps(need to be cut & sewn)

2 other things. I made a mistake when cutting the fabric, but they should work kinda like a Kozy, but different. I haven't tested it yet to see if it actually will work.

So I have 6 I use, 1 more that I make which I will be using and 1 that I will be buying to use.

Well, it's more than 5 counting one that I made for myself...
1 ella roo ring sling
1 Girasol
1 kk fleece pouch
3 asian carriers
1 homemade asian-type carrier

I am really hankering after the kk cotton pouch for summer. I think the fabrics are so pretty!

Oh goodness... I can say these were all in the name of research, right? Um, more than 25 and less than 50. I am not excessive normally at all (unless we're talking chocolate!), so I know this is way too much. I'm sending a bunch off to a friend next month for a babywearing fashion show she's doing, and after that I think I'll be thinning things out quite a bit.

Most often used at the moment...

EllaRoo Wrap
Ergo
Moby Wrap
Kozy

I have two slings. A PiggySling and a Moby Wrap. I'm loving the Moby right now.

I also have a Baby Trekker. It gets the least use.

I want an EllaRoo.
I have 2 Zolos, 1 Maya, an Ella Roo and an Ergo. I've sold the Baby Bjorn, the Maya pouch, the Girasol, the Podegi, the Rebozo, & I misplaced one Ella Roo and one fleece pouch.
Well, two but neither are in use anymore.
I had a pocket type pouch sling for when ds was newborn. That kept throwing my neck and shoulder out of whack. Ds was born at 10 pounds so that pouch didn't work for long.
I also have a snuggli but he outgrew that real fast as well. His poor chubby legs kept turning colors they were being squeezed too tight.

I'm now working on getting a few homemade wraps. I love being able to choose my own fabric plus I like how the wrap looks and feels. Not sure yet if I'll be satisfied with this or become obsessed and have to have every style and make.
