Birth related sightseeing in Seattle?

Thread Starter

Hi all,

I am visiting a friend next month in Seattle and I was wondering if some of you from that area could recommend some hot spots to check out since that area seems to be a birth services hotspot.  Any stores, centers, groups I should check out while I am there?

I used to take classes with Ann Keppler, co author of Pregnancy, Childbirth and the Newborn.  She's amazing!!!!!  They do First Weeks and Next Weeks.  When I went, they were free but now there is a charge.  It's totally worth it though.

There are a bunch of cutsie waldorfy stores in Seattle...Ballard has one that is so cute but I can't remember the name.  If you go walking around I'm sure you'll find it.

Also, there is a huge toy store in Wallingford which is more for bigger kids but they still sell wooden toys and natural toy plus more.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something.  If I think of more, I'll post them.

Have fun!
