hypnobabies what's safe for DH to listen to?

lol.gif I like to listen to Hypnobabies as I'm going to sleep. I do it other times during the day too, but night time is the best. I don't want to do headphones as we are still cosleeping.

So which tracks are 'safe' for DH. He has been making jokes about feeling confident about his uterus and how is pelvis is soft and flexible.

I don't really know what listening to this in his deep subconscious would do?....He is much more susceptible to suggestion than I am (I have to force myself to let go, he just does)

So far I have the relax me free download and the self hypnosis #1 as not being overly feminine Special place is totally out! orngtongue.gif

I don't think anything would be "unsafe" for your DH to listen to.  I listened to a lot of the tracks before I was pregnant.  Your subconsious mind really does reject or "translate" anything that doesn't apply.  I can see that very clearly now that I am pregnant!  Sometimes when someone  hears something that doesn't apply, they will come out of hypnosis but that's about it.

Hypnosis isn't powerful enough to make someone do what they normally would not do, so I'm sure there's a filter in the subconscious somewhere. I would guess that, at the most, your dh would be calm and relaxed about the birth.

I'm at least 82% positive that listening to Hypnobabies will not turn him into either a pregnant woman or cause him to become feminine orngtongue.gif It's all safe.

They are absolutely right.  At worst, he'll come out of hypnosis momentarily when he hears a suggestion his mind rejects (generally one about his cervix - LOL!)  At best, he will find himself looking forward to the upcoming birth with as much confidence and joy as you!

Have you looked into getting an under-pillow speaker?  That's what I used and it worked like a charm.

Oh, and don't worry about your suggestibility or lack thereof.  Self-hypnosis is a learned skill, and while it does take some people a little longer than others to use it easily, by the 3rd or 4th week, you can't tell who came by the skill naturally and who learned it.  You're going to do great!

Thanks! I guess I just feel bad subjecting him to having to listen every night to giving birth...but I do think it is making him more confident about the birth and Great side affect he actually is questioning MW about things now, when last time around he was completely trusting of OB.
