Nursing Mamas TTC December - Page 9

Congratulations ~savah~! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy and a sweet babe! love.gif

AFM, ladies and gentlemen, we have EWCM!!! Hopefully my first PPAF follows soon! I think it might just be my body gearing up, since it only lasted one day, but it was reeeeeally stringy and lovely! (Sorry if TMI, but I thought you mamas could appreciate it... haha). We didn't get to dtd that day, but did the next so we shall see. joy.gif

No worries!  I have never gotten a BFP until at least 18 dpo!

the earliest i have ever tested was at least a week after i missed a period. so that would be 21 dpo right? i will keep testing until the fat lady sings. lol.

Lionessmom - fx - I hope you get a bfp soon!!!

afm - my last 2 ovulatory cycles with clomid I had a temp drop on this cd with af showing the next day - this morning my temp was still up nice & high. Hopefully this is a good sign!

Congrats to everyone with new BFPs!

I'm feeling positive this month about my symptoms already, I'm on CD10 and I'm gearing up to O already. With any luck, I should O and have a normal LP this cycle.

Although frankly, I don't have a good "feeling" about getting my BFP now. For some reason I think that it's not gonna happen until next cycle... dunno why...

My last pregnancy I had a blood test done and it still came back negative for me!!  It was just a few days after that though that I got a BFP  POAS!  So weird how the body works!  It's so hard for us who don't test positive until later!

I 'm not quite sure why she advised the clomid because Im know Im ovulating, but I suppose the progesterone was to see if it would lengthen my luteal phase. So Im thinking that when I get back on the horse so to speak, I may consider the progesterone. Have any of you had luck with it? What is it like to take? I know these things happen and I can never know for sure, but I just can't help but think this may have had something to do with my luteal phase and progesterone yk?

Marnica - I'm so sorry for your loss. hug2.gif  To respond to your questions:  I took progesterone the cycle I got pregnant due to a very short luteal phase (average between 6-8 days).  My understanding is that taking the progesterone (starting after O and continuing for 10 days) gives the baby time to implant and the body time to react with it's own hormones.  Also, to echo what other have said, Clomid will be prescribed if a weak ovulation is suspected.  If ovulation isn't strong enough, the post O hormones will be weak as well which will inhibit proper implantation.

For my cycle, I took the progesterone from about 3 dpo (once O was confirmed) to 8 dpo, got my BFP on 9 dpo and was advised by my Dr to stop taking the progesterone at that time.  I didn't notice any side effects while on it and did still have a bit of spotting up until 8 dpo I think.  I'm 9w 5d now and so far so good.

5DPO, nothing much to report here. My temps are nice and high though, much higher than previous cycles (I'm guessing from the NPC).

Just got back from my RE. The fetus has passed and I won't need the cytotec or a D&C so that's good at least. Im planning on doing a fertility cleanse when I get my period. Its a 30 days cleanse, so i guess Ill just hang out here waiting to be ready for a while and keep my fingers crossed for lots of BFP's

Congrats ~Savah~  joy.gif

Marnica ~ After 3 nights of progesterone my # went up to 22.79,  I had started bleeding on the 4day of being on progesterone

and continued to bleed off and on. Then 17days after that draw the next draw it was 7.76 which was on 10/27, i didn't m/c til 11/9 and

my beta's were rising the whole time also but not in the way the doctors wanted. I was on a very low ammount 100MG 1x nightly.  I have no clue if being on more would have helped at all.

I'm 12dpo now. I've been doing hpt's in the mornings but no bfp yet. BUT my temps are still up!!!!! Usually my lp is 10-11 days so this is good. Plus I have LOTS of ewcm (something I distinctly remember from when I was pregnant for ds). Hopefully my bfp comes soon!

I hope you get your bfp soon, Lifeguard!!
Do you have your chart posted anywhere (so I can stalk you)? redface.gif
post #177 of 284

I do have a chart but I'm not sure how to share it. Does this work?

Oh, lifeguard!!! Sounds SO promising! I get EWCM before I get a BFP too! Fingers crossed. :)

Lifeguard: Your chart didn't work for me - brought me to my own. Did you make a homepage and then link to that? Hoping you get a BFP tmorrow!!

Socal: I have no idea about dosing but I am taking prometrium vaginally this month. My dr prescribed 400mg nightly. I don't know if that is a normal dose or high though. I think it might be on the high end from the reading I have done (which isn't a lot as far as dose).

5 dpo here. Nothing to report. Thankfully I am not havng any icky side effects from the progesterone.

Hey ladies :)  Thought I would check in.  On Monday my hCG levels were down to 3 so I do not have to do anymore bloodwork.  I got my Rhogam shot yesterday and was advised to wait until after I've had a cycle before trying again.  So I guess I am waiting to be ready?

Congrats to all the mommas with BFPs- how exciting! :)
