I haven't checked in for a while. GL to everyone!!!

AFM I'm 10 days past my possible O (positive OPK the day before) and 11 days after we last dtd. I'm doubtful of anything since the timing wasn't great with hubbies work and we didn't get in a ton of BD'ing. I think I'll test on Thursday.

Hello everyone!

I need some insight. My DS is nearly 30 months and no PPAF for me after night weaning 10 weeks ago. 4 weeks ago I thought I was ovulating and 2 weeks later I had 2 faint BFP's w/nausea and headaches. A few days later all my symptoms disappeared and negative HPT's. I also had a tiny bit blood tinged CM but no AF. Is this normal to not have AF or just a smidgen of blood after likely a chemical?

Gozal what would you do differently?

I am 40 years old and my DS loves to nurse. I don't want to wean but I am really wanting to get pregnant. I currently am taking Maca.

Hi all.  I've not been a "regular" poster in a long time, but just wanted to try to check in more often.  CD 32 and expecting AF any day now.  I checked my cervix, and had a very tiny bit of spotting mixed in with my CM, so it will probably start tonight or tomorrow.  My DD will be 21 months old tomorrow, and she still nurses anywhere from 2-5 times per night (more when teething), and MANY times during the day.  I have had AF since 13 weeks PP, but I just don't think I'm ovulating b/c my cycle lengths are so unpredictable.  IDK what to do.  I don't want to wean her.  I guess I will just have to wait until she decides she's finished with nursing to get pregnant.

MayasMama  - I'm not sure which ones you know and which ones you don't, but here are some of the commonly used ones:

CD - cycle day 

O - ovulate

2ww - two week wait, the time period after ovulation has been confirmed and you're waiting for your period or a positive pregnancy test

AF - aunt Flow; your period

PPAF - post partum AF; the first period after birth

OPK - ovulation predictor kit; the pee stick that detects LH 

LH - luteinizing hormone, the hormone that surges right before ovulation

HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin, what a pregnancy test picks up to show that you're pregnant

HPT - home pregnancy test

FMU - full morning urine. 

LP - luteal phase, the time period between ovulation and period or positive pregnancy test

LPD - luteal phase defect, when LP is less than 10 days and therefore too short for implantation of fertilized egg

Am I missing any?

Oh, and what does "CS'ing" mean? (from your siggy)

You got most of them, except CM (which I know is cervical mucus), but then there is CD, and BD?

And CSing means "Co-sleeping." I could have just put that, but I was on an abbreviation roll. :P

Afm, I got 4 faint positives on ic (Internet cheapies)
today!! Then I went out this evening and got a FRER (just to be sure the ic weren't fooling me, lol) and it was positive too! Woohoo!

mayasmama- gotcha. We're a CD'ing, BF'ing and CS'ing family too :-)

blood test came back neg. sigh. i am still having symptoms. and now i have this strange pinching in my right ovary. i have a history of painful periods and painful ovarian cysts that burst. so they are sending me for a us to see if there is a cyst there or not. i feel numb. i cried when the doc called me and told me it was neg. i was so sure. all the symptoms matched. the chart looked right. all the cramping that turned into bh like sensations, etc etc. i was so worked into believing it. now i just feel numb. i have to take both DD's with me. i have a sit n stand i will strap them into. they will have to do a vag us, i hate those. i really hope i dont have a painful cyst that will burst over xmas. that will suck.

I'll be praying for you! That stinks that you are going through this. Keep us updated if you are able to.

Lioness, I'm so sorry. I totally understand that feeling, and I know many of the mamas in this thread know it, too. I actually just went through that. Two weeks of nausea, metallic taste in my mouth, ovarian pain, food aversions.. then I went to the OBGYN yesterday and negative test. It's so frustrating, disheartening, and kind of numbing like you said, to want something so badly and not be able to have it right then and there. Just remember that it WILL be there! Expect a Miracle. ;)

As for the OCs, I had one of those when I was 15 that burst. NOT the most pleasant experience of my life. I will pray for your physical and emotional healing.

I'm 11 or 12 dpo today and I think this might be it. I'm saving a FRER for tomorrow...oh who am I kidding maybe tonight lol.

This is a second or third MU (morning urine) with a 3-4hr hold. Do you see it or am I crazy? I had something on the first test this morning so I retook one trying to rule out evap.
