I don't have an exact recipe. I listed in a previous post what I do. It's simple. You can google bath salt and scrub recipes. They are super easy and always appreciated!

The hat for my MIL is probably my best "cheap but not cheap" gift.  The yarn was this pretty bulky yarn, that I thought was acrylic.  I started knitting and the label flew out (I had looked for the label, and didn't think it was there).  Turns out the yarn is merino/silk that retailed for $21 a skein, I got 2 skeins at a garage sale for $1!!!  The hat is almost done after about 3 hours of knitting last night, and it's beautiful!

JC penney was doing a $10 off $10 so I got 4 of these http://www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=198dc7a&DeptID=70675&CatID=74692&SO=1&SelDim=29~704&x5view=1&Ne=4294957900+5+704+3+18+1031+8&shopperType=G&N=4294944103+451&Nao=0&PSO=1&CmCatId=70675|74692 (used 2 credit cards) for $1.68 after tax (free shipping to store)  so saved over $80

I got an email about a Murad promotion (skincare) a month ago where if you bought Dr. Murad's book ($12ish on Amazon) you got $200 worth of their skin care stuff....so I ordered it and I'm giving it all to my Mom. I went to Sephora the other day and they sell the stuff there, and it really is expensive, so I'm thrilled to have gotten all of it for practially nothing! She will LOVE it.

One thing I do for the kids' teachers is to make a bag of things to toss together for a simmer. I typically put an orange, some cranberries and a couple of cinnamon sticks together in a clear gift bag w/ a sticker on the front saying to slice up the orange and then toss everything into a pot of water to simmer.  I love the way it smells and have those exact items simmering for most of the days of December.  I also add a gift card but I like the personal touch of the simmer!

well Im making these cute little travel tissue holders out of scraps from my fabric stash.  The only thing I bought were the pkg of tissue to go inside of them and that I got at the dollar store ($1 for  a 6pk )  So basically $1 for 6 gifts since im using fabric and ribbon I already had.  Just my time but really I can whip one up in about 5 minutes.

I also do a lot of baking this time of yr.  There arnt too many bakers in our circle so any homemade yummies are always welcomed and appreciated.

im a big believer that presentation can make any ordinary thing look special.  for instance i made a large bundt cake for 1 family but i used a nice decorative pan to bake and then sprinkled with powdered sugar and a few berries wrapped up in clear cello from the dollar store and it looked awesome.  I buy cheap pkg supplies like craft paper, twine, ribbon, clear cello wrap at the dollar store to pkg my baking supplies.

these are cute little dolls to make from fabric scraps.  The felt hair was the only thing I needed which was under $3 because I bought several colors.

and these are cute hand sanitizers for medical staff/teachers/receptionists.  Again I was able to get the bottles at the dollar store (love that store!) and made several up from 1 sheet that was only $1.29 at the copy center.  Several were able to be cut out from 1 sheet.

Oooh, maybe I'll do those for stocking stuffers.  Charmingly retro.  I remember my grandma giving me one:-)

I'm knitting leg warmers for some, using yarn from my stash, resisting the urge to buy new yarn.  I'm crocheting a water bottle carrier.  I hope to find some funky large buttons for it to make the strap adjustable or removable.  Sometimes I like a strap on mine but sometimes I carry it in a bag and just want the cozy part so I think it will be a nice design.  And the intended recipient happens to have the same style water bottle as I do so I know the fit will be perfect.

One relative has gotten into old vinyl records so I think I'll gift him one of mine, an album he claims is the best all time album ever.  It's my favorite but I only listen to music in the car.  And maybe he'll copy it onto cd for my birthday if I hint, lol.
