December Home Cooking Challenge

I hadn't seen a thread like this for awhile, but I thought we could keep each other accountable for having home-cooked meals and saying no to meals out and delivered pizzas.  This is probably the busiest and costliest time of the year, so let's come on here and support each other! 

Tonight: Vegan Papardelle Cacciatore

I'll join!  I'm already doing the Pantry Challenge (which seems to have died off) so this will only help.

Tonight is quesadillas to use up the last of the beans in the fridge.

Tonight: Spinach & carrot & pepperoni pizza (I blend the carrots up with the tomato sauce) with green smoothies.

Today we had Chicken, Macaroni and peas. All mixed together, it was actually pretty good.

1/31 Homecooked Meals

I'm in.  I'd like to eat at home for all but three or four (including at one on the way to my folks for the holidays) meals this month. 

Last night DH and DSs split two large veggie burgers.  I had an egg salad sandwich and we all had corn and oven fried potatos. Then I went to the grocery store and did a big stock up.  I think we should be set for awhile.

Dinner tonight will be hamburgers and fries.  We're completely overrun with beef right now so we're trying to make a dent in that.

I know there will be a few days we don't eat at home (my birthday, a potluck night, Christmas Eve dinner) but there shouldn't be many.  I do see a few lunches out while Christmas shopping happening, but I can deal with that.

Tonight is beef burritos w/ black beans.

Tons of ground beef in freezer and I made a triple batch of tortillas last go around. And amazingly I remembered to take both out of the freezer this AM before I left the house!!

We just got invited to my father-in-law's house for dinner and tomorrow and Saturday we have Christmas parties. No cooking for me...

Tonight's our usual pizza/movie night.  Dh will probably have leftovers.

ooh can I jump in now? I am feeling the pull towards eating out as schedules start to get busier.  I was just trying to put together a plan for tonight, we get home after 5 and we curl at 7.

tonight- spagetti squash with tomato or pesto.

tomorrow- homemade veggie pizza

Sunday- turkey dinner (20 lbs) this should carry us through most of the week.

Pizza Friday night, chili burgers and fries Saturday night, and last night, we kind of snacked since there's a stomach bug hitting our house. 

Tonight will probably be soup since dh's having his wisdom teeth out, at least for him.

12-4 ate out for lunch and had popcorn and fruit for supper

Tonight is leftover soup. There isn't a whole lot left so I'll cook up a chicken breast and shred it up and add a little more cheese and rice milk to it. Might also have green smoothies on the side.
