birthing options in western burbs of Chgo??

Hi ladies! I am expecting my 2nd in April, & I am looking for a different birth experience w/my first (@ Loyola, put on pit, terrible BF support, etc.). I am open to homebirth, but DH is not (& it's not covered by ins). I am looking for any insight on where I might be able to get either a MW or less-interventiony (strapped to a bed, internal monitoring, etc) birth experience. I live in the western burbs but I can get to wherever. TIA!!

Not sure exactly where you are mama, but there seem to be three main options for a CNM attended hospital birth in/around Chicago. There's a fabulous group in Oak Park at West Suburban. If you're further north, there's a two different midwife groups that deliver out of Evanston Hospital. If you're willing to travel to the city, Swedish Covenant, on the north side, also has a group of midwives that are supposed to be great.

Other mamas, anyone I missed? There might be someone further out in the 'burbs I'm unaware of.

Good luck in your search. I switched to a MW halfway through my pregnancy and couldn't have been happier.

I'll definitely check out West Suburban - that is a very doable drive for me!! Thank you thank you for all of the suggestions!! I'd heard mixed things about the OMG group that deliver at Hindsdale. My doula said that although Hindsdale kind of presents itself as less-intervention friendly, it actually isn't so much. Don't know if anyone has any thoughts or experiences on them/that hospital.
