I have a 2 year old DS and an 11 day old DD. I have insane, ridiculous oversupply and overactive letdown issues with engorgement that doesn't let up (had it for 9+ months with DS) and all the kid issues that go along with these issues.Â
Â
My son grew ridiculously fast (he was 22 lbs at 4 months old, 29 lbs at 9 months, and is 36 lbs at 2.)Â I know that slow growth can be an allergy symptom- could fast growth be also?
Â
Both of my children have sacral dimples, I didn't know this could be associated with allergies until I saw a thread on it today. Neither my husband nor I have sacral dimples- why do our kids?
Â
DD is a sweet, happy baby for the most part but she has been throwing up for the past 2 days and generally seems pretty uncomfortable much of the time. She completely loses it when she needs to burp, throw up (this is bigger than a little spit) or poop. She also HATES nursing all of a sudden- possibly because of the overactive letdown?Â
Â
DS was pukey and rashy baby. The thought of food allergies crossed my mind a few times but I was just too overwhelmed to deal with the idea of an elimination diet. He has seasonal allergies and asthmatic tendencies (he wheezes from illnesses or exposure to smoke, fragrance, etc.) and he is prone to getting rashes and reacting badly to skin upsets like bug bites and such.
Â
So where do I start? What do I need to do to get things under control here? I'm so totally overwhelmed by this whole food-sensitivity thing but does that not sound like what we are dealing with? I've heard that my own sensitivities could be causing my severe oversupply issues. I really need to get it under control because I am miserable with plugged ducts and pain from engorgement and I'm soaking through multiple bath towels each day.
