All Yesterday classics books available in epub and kindle format....$99

You can also buy them individually and the prices per book seem very reasonable but I am really tempted by the buy all option which is only available till December 24. 225 books for $99 seems like a dream come true for me even if I don't use them all. I adore the formatting on the Yesterdays classic books and I am just so thrilled that they are finally in ebook format (love my ereader!!)

Here is the link in case anyone else wants to check it out!

Merry Christmas :)

Just so everyone is clear - you're paying for the formatting, illustrations, and possibly the ease of downloading it all at once (assuming that's how it works). These books are in the public domain, and free, legal copies can be obtained from sites like http://www.gutenberg.org/, http://www.manybooks.net/, and http://www.mainlesson.com/ in a number of electronic formats, including epub and kindle.

Gutenberg and Manybooks don't have illustrations (Mainlesson does, but isn't downloadable). That's the only reason I'd consider getting some of them from Yesterday's Classics instead of a free site.

(I think Yesterday's Classics provides an excellent service when it comes to providing print versions of out-of-print books, but what they're doing with ebooks seems a bit misleading.)

Agreed. They also have some public domain books that I haven't been able to find elsewhere like Clara Dillingham Pierson's series (gutenberg has Farmyard People and I found a really badly formatted version of night people but I haven't found any of the rest of them anywhere else but Yesterday's classics).

I did end up buying the package and I am a happy camper LOL....I am reading one of the books to my DH as he drives for our family vacation.

I'm glad to know that there are things on there that are difficult to find through other sources :) I recognized some of it (and have electronic copies already of several of the books), and spot-checked a few other titles. But you're right - most of the "Among the..." books seem harder to find.
