* Name: Marisa

* EDD: August 8th 2011

* Age: 24
* Location: Newark, DE
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: Well, we weren't trying to get pregnant, in fact 2 years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS and was told it would be very difficult for me to conceive on my own.  I had gastric bypass in December of 2009, lost 150lbs.  I conceived in November 2010 after switching birth control pills. That one week window did it for me! lol
* What number child is this for you: My 1st!
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): My husband, my stepson (who doesn't live with us)
* Birth plans/preferences: I would like to give birth at the Birth Center, located in Wilmington-DE.  But it all depends on how my next appointment goes with my midwife after reviewing all my labwork and such to make sure I am low risk
* Anything else you'd like to share: I am very excited to be a mommy!

Hi - I'm new here.  I've been active on another site and someone mentioned this one as being more aligned with my beliefs - so I thought I would come check it out!

My EDD is 8/5 and this is my first.  I'm 35.  I'm really excited.  I live in Ithaca, NY and have been married for 3 years.

I've been poorly TTC for a few years but started using OPKs in July.  I think we conceived in Sept but no implanting - pure speculation on my part and then it worked in Nov.

I'm hoping for a natural birth - no drugs at all.  We would love it if the DH could catch the baby.  I'm going to a midwifery group so I don't know who will be on call - but hoping they are all okay with that.  I'm basically stuck with a hospital birth - only one known homebirth midwife in the area and she is not taking Aug. clients and no birth center for hours.  I've also found an excellent doula!
