Baby's movements during labour

With ds, I barely felt him move during pregnancy, and so certainly not during labour. This time around, I'm feeling lots of movement (which is cool!), and am wondering if I will still feel the baby moving during labour, between contractions, etc? If I don't, is that a sign that something is wrong, or does the baby just quiet down when getting ready to be born? Does it change as labour progresses - early vs late vs transition, etc? I'm 40+1 and baby is still moving like crazy. I'd always heard movement slows down towards the end! Is that a sign I still have a ways to wait before this little person makes an appearance?

Thanks!

Ds moved a LOT while I was pregnant. Kick counts always sounded like a silly idea to me 'cause he moved constantly. I didn't notice movement at all when I was in labour - but I think the contractions overtook all other sensations.

Ah, thanks! I just wish I knew when this baby will come - the waiting is hard! He's sooooo active still it's hard to believe he's anywhere close to being ready to be born!! :(
