Hi! I'm almost 20 weeks here and have nothing definite (it's my first). Occasional maybe-bubbles n' butterflies but sometimes I feel like it's just wishful thinking. So I'm wondering, with your first, when did you first feel what you were SURE was movement?

You may have an anterior placenta - they can "muffle" kicks. I think I felt kicks at around 15 or 16 weeks?

yeah, I'm wondering about the placenta. My ultrasound is next week, so I'll ask the doctor. 15-16 weeks is early! My doctor told me with first time moms it's usually between 18-21 weeks.

p.s. I love your signature.

14 weeks. Same with my other pregnancies.

First twins felt at 19-20 weeks. Seems so odd now I feel my babies at 11-12 weeks. I am sure I felt movement, but it didn't click w/ fetal movement and I was busy.

I had an anterior placenta with my first.  I know it was after 20w before I felt movement.  I'm thinking it was 21w and that is what I voted on the poll.

It was definitely around 20w - maybe later.

Just looked back at my blog and it was between 15 and 16 weeks.  I had some fluttery movements before then but that was the first time my husband could feel it.

20 weeks for #1.

I put 14 weeks, but it was actually 10 weeks. but it was because she was laying with her head out and her butt toward my back, and then rolled while I had my fingers resting on her head. with my second, I have an anterior placenta, and felt movement around 15-16 weeks, knowing exactly what I was looking for.

I was really late-it was 23 weeks with my first. With my second it was 19, and I was told I had an anterior placenta. I suspect I did with #1 as well.

I thought I started feeling flutters at 12 weeks but I marked 14 because that's when I was starting to get sure of it.  By 15 weeks I was 100% sure what i was feeling was the baby.

I checked 18. Never really felt flutters but felt what I thought were kicks that got stronger and happened more often as time went on. Now there is no mistaking every little move that she makes (and I'm almost to 26 weeks).

I'm 14 weeks and I think I just started feeling little wiggles. I know most people feel them from the inside first, but I think I've been feeling them by putting my hand right on my uterus, and pressing down. I know what I'm feeling is not my own pulse - it's little irregularly timed bumps that are very soft.

Yeah, if I press down with my hands I think I'm just feeling my own pulse. But a 2-3 times a day it seems I feel little, very very faint twitch/flicker type things. Does that sound about right?

Blanca, that's about what I'm feeling, but it's my first pregnancy to reach second trimester, so I could be wrong.

I felt absolutely nothing till 21w and a few days. One night I felt on thing I was not sure of and by noon the next day they never stopped moving again!
No offense to folks that feel them super early, but I'm not personally sure if i totally buy it. They are sooooo small and do not even have the ability to move that much in those early weeks, but who knows, I'm not them.

I would not worry for a sec, I wanted to feel them zoo bad and used to lay there all the time with my hand on my uterus for hours and got nothing, once it started it was so clear, it rocked!!!!!

And that's with TWINS! Thanks, Adorkable, feeling much better now!

THis morning it was the strangest thing--I was lying on my back feeling my uterus and it felt like it was all rolled up in a log under my belly button--just bunched up and hard, almost a ridge. Then a few seconds later it was normal again. Was that the baby hanging out at the top, do you think?

i was 17 weeks with #1 (and #2) when i felt movement for the first time.

I'm pregnant with my first and didn't feel her until 20 weeks. And even then it was quite faint, it took another week or so for me to be sure it wasn't just gas or muscle twitches!
