I'm at 24 weeks with my first, and I couldn't tell for SURE it was the baby's movement I was feeling until midway through week 19.  But it was really irregular -- just a few kicks a day (early morning, usually) until a week or two later.

Well, I felt what I suspected might be the baby at 11w6d (fluttery feelings), but I wasn't entirely sure until I started feeling real kicks at 16w6d. I've been feeling them every day since then, and they are distinct, so I know it's baby. So I put 17 weeks.

I just felt a pretty distinct, though very light, poke in the lower left quadrant of my uterus! Question, though--if it was in the same place three times in a row (within about a minute) that could still be it, right? Maybe the baby's waving its hand or foot in the same place? A little fist pumping going on?

With my first, I started feeling light kicks and flutters at 14 weeks, with this pregnancy, I felt tiny flutters starting at 10 weeks.

I was about 22 weeks before I felt anything definite.

Now, at 32 weeks, I would like a break from being kicked lol. Sometimes it startles me as if someone snuck up and poked me in the side without warning.

I second the anterior placenta.  I had one with my first pregnancy and didn't feel much until after 22 weeks.  I think I was feeling some little movements earlier on, but I didn't really know what I was looking for.  I had a horrible OB that freaked me out and basically told me something was wrong (never mind that I had already had my 20w anatomy scan so she should have known about the anterior placenta) and that if I wasn't feeling regular movement by 24 weeks then something was definitely wrong with my baby (I think I was 23w when she said this).  Even this time with my second I am at 22 weeks and not feeling regular movement (although I probably feel something most days).  I think it is different for everyone.  Don't worry- you will feel it soon enough!

I voted "14 weeks" although I felt my first during week 13.  Definite and unmistakable little taps in my uterus, although obviously super light.  Tap...tap...tap.  Felt like nothing before nor after, I'm positively not confusing these taps with gas (although *other* gas sensations really do sometimes feel like a baby moving around).  I think that I felt the movement so early because I sit at a desk doing mindless boring work so I have nothing better to do than sit and observe my uterine sensations. :lol

A close friend of mine felt her first during her 14th week and my BFF, with an anterior placenta, didn't feel her first until 20+ weeks.

20 weeks and a few days.

I had an anterior placenta and tons of fluid, so I felt nothing until about 30 weeks.
