Very few pregnancy symptoms...normal?

This is all I have to show for pregnancy so far:

-9 positive pregnancy tests (3 different brands) across a week's time

-no period

-continued elevated basal temps

-HCG of 1811 at 5 wks

-cramping (off and on)

My nipples hurt just a tad, but I think they were worse a few days ago.  My cramping was worse the other day too.  I'm not hungry.  I have occasional nausea, but no vomiting.

Does it mean something bad to have no usual symptoms?

Nausea is definitely a symptom even without vomiting!  How far along are you now?

The nausea seems to come and go and hasn't been a big thing...unless you ask me while I'm feeling it!

I'm 5 weeks (and possibly 1 day) today.

Honestly, with my first 3 pgs, I had no symptoms.  Really, nothing felt all that different or anything until I could feel them move (14 wks with the first and 10 with the next two).  I consider myself lucky since I did not escape the nausea and general crappy feelingness this time!  WHile many symptoms are common, there are a lot of people who don't have them and go on with very healthy pgs.

H&H 9 months to you!

I guess I worry more today because my boobs feel less sore and my cramping is also better.  Am I reading into things?  Any tips on how to become less anxious.  I was so excited (like literally squealed) when we saw the second pink linebouncy.gif, but I've been so anxious about everything since.  I worry when I have cramps and when I don't.  I'm worried about my low thyroid level that came back yesterday (even though I've already adjusted the dose and I'm only at the start of  weeks before the brain is developed).  A few days ago I was worried about ectopic.  Then it was worried my HCG at 4 weeks, 6 days was too low (1811) and the progesterone was too low (18.8)...then worried I would take too much.  It hasn't stopped.  I'm losing sleep trying to research things.  It's really bothering me that I can't relax and enjoy how exciting this is...

Thanks.

Oh my goodness; as much as i hate to admit my pregnancies tend to be very easy in terms of symptoms...i had/havve some crampiness that comes and goes and same as breast tenderness somedays they would hurt but usually they dont', i was only sick for the first few days until i realized it was my prenatal making me sick so i started taking them at night and since then no problems...So a decrease or lack of symptoms isn't really a realiable factor of viability

Thanks for the reassurance.  I need to chill out...or then I worry about being too anxious. :)  Thanks.

I was feeling the same way you are...about 6.5 months ago.  My boobs didn't hurt, I wasn't nauseous, and barely more tired than usual.

Than at 6 weeks things started to change, and by 7 weeks, I felt awful.  And that last till about 14 weeks.  And here I am now, 32.5 weeks.

Some women do feel their symptoms right away, but most don't, and often times, things like morning sickness don't start until 6-7 weeks anyway.

Your HCG and Progesterone levels look good, so I'd try to be optimistic.

Do they look good?  Thanks.  I know they were in range, but I didn't know what was good.  I read the average progesterone is 12-20 at 5 wks so that made me feel better.  I guess I'll look forward to symptoms next week...lol.  We shall see.

first pregnancy, starting at 5 weeks: breast tenderness, peed a little more frequently, and a little tenderness in my lower abdomen. starting 7-8 weeks, some nausea (lasted a week), increased abdominal tenderness, and the exhaustion kicked in. DD is a healthy, happy, 18 month old

second pregnancy, noticed nothing until 7-8 weeks when lots and lots of nausea came about. I'm 25 weeks now.

basically most of my symptoms started at 7-8 weeks, so I don't think not having many early on is anything to worry about. and you could be lucky and not have many symptoms at any point in the pregnancy, I had a really easy pregnancy with DD. not so much this time around, but I think the fact I'm nursing a toddler has a lot to do with that.

this  being  my 1st and at  5 weeks as well  .   expirence barely no nausea mostly  cramps and  bloating along  being  sore   .....some days not as sore as  other days my exhaustion kicked in my  4th week  but  has  left  me a  few days now having  none  of  it .....

I didn't have any symptoms at all until 6 1/2 weeks. Then I started having food aversion and regular nausea. I wouldn't worry about it. Even if you don't have any sypmtoms that doesn't mean the baby isn't okay! You're HCG levels are fine so I wouldn't worry about it.

Totally normal. I was the same way. I'm almost 20 weeks and I STILL don't feel stereotypically "pregnant." Never got morning sickness, just a touch of nausea. Fatigue was the main thing, but I don't think that kicked in until 6 weeks or so. My doctor told me "Symptoms are reassuring for the mother but their absence doesn't mean anything is wrong--some people are just lucky."

i also don;t get any of the typical symptoms. fatigue, heck yeah. last time i was really sensitive to smell and this time i had to pee all the time even right in the beginning but no nausea etc...

i call it luck and nothing to worry about!

Thanks ladies.  Good to hear.  I have to try to relax and enjoy the pregnancy.  What will be, will be.  I just hope it will BE healthy!  As if to help assure me, my boobs starting killing me in the middle of the night.  I rolled over and crushed one and it hurt. ;)

Thanks again for the reassurance.  I'm seeing my midwife this week and I think she will be able to reassure me too...about all my worries.

If it wasn't for the positive tests and missed periods, I would never have guessed I was pregnant until I started showing! All the scary stories online had me convinced that no symptoms=miscarriage, but I'm 34 weeks now and everything's fine.

Maybe I'm just lucky then. :)  The boobs hurt more today and I still have the cramping, but all in all, I feel good.  Thanks for all the feedback.  Annablue- love the due date!

Totally normal.

I spent an hour the other day angsting about my baby having Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

I don't drink.

That literally made me laugh out loud!!!!  Now that's one thing I haven't worried about...yet.  :)  Seriously...I'm still laughing right now!  Thank you for the laugh.  I needed it!

i can say without a doubt that you can have a happy smooth nearly symptom free pregnancy. I'm 33weeks with wonderfully healthy twins no less and despite what tons of medical folks and scary websites told me, i had nearly no bad things ever,

no nausea, no cravings, no pain (beyond very early cramping between weeks 4-8)

my sore boobs smoothed out after just a few weeks and were never that bad.

no food aversions, (just the need to eat protein or for some reason i got insomnia!)

my sex life flourished, my skin has stayed clear, even my normal headaches vanished

honestly i was careful not to mention this stuff to anyone else preggo in real life for fear they would hate me!

i sit here now just finally getting sore and "amused" with brackton hicks contractions

and I'm on the home stretch so whatever it is now i can deal with it for these short weeks!

Enjoy your good fortune and your pregnancy!!!!
