TTC on soy group - Page 6

FX for you A2E and HopefullyMama!

Can soy mess up your LP? I used soy this cycle, and I'm 5 days late. The only pg symptom I have is some random spotty breast tenderness, which is not a sign of AF for me. I'm never late, and I know I o'd on the 14th. I can't bring myself to test until I'm sure I'll get a +....

The only thing I know Soy can do is to delay Ovulation.  As far as I know, it doesn't mess with your LP.  Keep us posted and I really hope you get your BFP.  :)

There it is, a BFP for the TTC on Soy group! This was my 3rd cycle after an early m/c, and I o'd on CD14, which was 4 days earlier than last cycle. I always have some twingy O pain, but this cycle it was much sharper than it's ever been before. Hopefully that's because it was such a big, healthy egg! Good luck to all you girls!

Congratulations mom-to-jj!!!!!

i didn't see this addressed here, but is it better to take soy in the AM or PM, both, or just a consistent time/day? Is anyone taking Vitex/evening primrose oil/maca or anything else simultaneously?

anyone?

I take my soy at night. Others have recommended doing so just to avoid potential side effects by sleeping through them. Not sure if there is another reason. I don't take anything else except a prenatal, Vitamin E, and folic acid. I also take baby aspirin post-O. My issues are more related to recurrent pregnancy loss, but I haven't conceived since last May (possibly November but not for sure) so I'm using soy now to try to help speed the process along. HTH.

thank you! and good luck:)

Congrats to mom-to-jj!!!

I took soy last year.  My LP was around 10 days before soy and went to 13 and then 14 days on the cycles I took soy.  I took it the month I got my BFP but only for 3 days.  I just miscarried and my m/c cycle the LP was 9 days.  So, I am taking soy again.  80 mg days 2-6.  If no BFP this mo, I will probably increase it.

Thanks for all the congrats!

I'm wondering if anyone has heard of soy causing low progesterone? I had a blood draw on Friday, and my progesterone was borderline low at 14.7. Could it be related to my use of soy this cycle? With my two healthy pregnancies, my progesterone was around 30.

So I took soy for 2 months and had clockwork 28 day cycles (my average is probably more like 32). Then I stopped for this month and I am only now just getting some spotting at CD43!!!!!! Has this happened to anyone else or is it coincidence?

Not sure whether I am going back on soy, but I do want those shorter cycles and lots of ewcm back.

After taking a break last cycle I am trying soy again. I did 80 mg CD 3-7. AF left a couple days ago, and I had some bright red spotting today when I wiped. I dont know if its from the soy. It could be, I suppose. I hope I see a BFP this cycle.

I just wanted to let you all know that I got a surprise BFP on Sunday.  Baby is due in October and was conceived in early February, during my first soy cycle.  :D

Congrats!

I just wanted to say thanks for this thread, I'm starting soy tonight to hopefully regulate my cycle. I'm BF my 14 mo and have had irregular cycles. I'm going to do 80mg for days 3-7, hopefully I'll ovulate. Thanks again ladies!

Has anyone spoken to your doctor about soy? I am probably going to be going in to see why we haven't conceived, and I have used soy a few cycles, and it has regulated them (shortened) and produced more CM. But I'm hesitant to speak to a mainstream doc about it...
