TTC on soy group - Page 5

Hi everyone!  Just checking in.  I'm now on my 10th cycle in 11 months and 2nd one on soy.  I'll be upping my dosage to 80mg CD3-7 (starting today) since the 40mg didn't do anything for me last time.  I was pretty emotional on the 40mg so I'm kind of worried about what 80mg will do.  My poor hubby... LOL.

Just like that today all my symptoms vanished. Weird, there is nothing.

And now I have the scoots, which is really odd because I am usually constipated this part of my cycle. I am not sick either and I dont have any cramping. I dont think its a symptom, but it is odd for this part of my cycle.

I'm supposed to be on my 2nd soy day and I just don't know if I can bring myself to take it.  Yesterday I had horrible nausea and a bad headache (still kind of do).  My husband thinks I should just stop taking it, and I'd like to not feel like this anymore, but I can't help but wonder if this would be THE cycle.  This is so frustrating...

God luck figuring it out, MommyM...!

Well, I'm out.  AF started light yesterday after the spotting at 5 DPO!  Even with my luteal phase issues, this has never happened.  I don't plan to take soy again.  This cycle all I am going to do is take my EPO and my multi.  I have a doctor's appointment in less than 2 weeks so I am hoping she will prescrice clomid since that's known to help LPD.  We will see.

Good luck to you all!

I ended up not taking it so I guess I'm done with soy.  I *still* have a headache and it's now been about 27 hours since it first started.  I had my hubby adjust me which seemed to help a bit, but I think I'm going to have to take some ibuprofen too.  Anyway, good luck to any other mamas taking the soy.  It might have worked, but it's just not for me.

Hey ladies, hope everyone is doing okay.  Best of luck to you guys leaving, hope next month will be your month even without the soy smile.gif

AFM, I'm just sitting here at CD 17 (or 15?  I can't remember, I don't have my chart sitting right here....), but either way it's a boring place to be.  In the TWW though, as of today I've had 3 days of higher-than-coverline temps, so that's good.  Only I'm a little skeptical.....the first cycle with soy it moved my ovulation back 2 days, but this time it didn't, and I O'd right on time?  Also, the first day of high temps I was drinking the night before, so I have trouble trusting that completely.  O well, we'll see what shakes out towards the end of the cycle.

I'm not going to test this cycle at all.  I'm just going to be Patient Patty and sit here and wait for my period to come.  If for some unknown reason it's more than a week late, I'll consider testing (or just going to the MW).  Next month will be our month to start testing; we're starting with DBF lol.gif  Poor guy, he's all nervous that he has no sperm!!!  I told him that it's really unlikely that that is the case, especially because of our history of chemicals, but it's just easier to rule out his stuff first.

Good luck out there to ladies testing soon.  I want to see some BFPs!!

With my soy cycles I have O'd 3 days late, 1 day late, and 1 day early. So it can vary in when it makes you ovulate.

Hi everyone!  I've only had 2 or 3 PP cycles, but thought that some Soy might jumpstart things.  I'm on CD4 today and started taking some low dose SI from CD1, 50mg a day.  I felt a dull ache in my sides last night and again this morning, not sure if it's the Soy or if I'm just looking for a sign that it's working.  Anyone else still trying with Soy?

I'm still trying. Last night was my double dose night, and I totally forgot (the only dose I forgot)! So I took it early, early this morning. This cycle has been weird. I haven't noticed any signs that the soy is working this time around. All of my temps have been higher than normal. I've had a weird AF (very little cramping, disappeared early, then reappeared several days later). Just a weird cycle. Hope things turn around soon. I'm really ready to be pregnant!

I'm still hanging around, took my Soy again this morning.  I have a question though, for those who have experience using Soy.  Should I be feeling something?  Is there a "sign" that the Soy is doing what it should?  I haven't had any side effects and only occasionally have a dull ache in my sides, but it doesn't last long.  Thoughts?

But I found articles that soy decrease fertility??

If someone takes too much soy, yes, it does decrease fertility by causing a person NOT to ovulate.

It can give you headaches and mood swings, but not always. I noticed stronger O pains and more PMS signs.

Yeah, what Lydiah said.  I basically just get headaches with it, but also, I usually get one or two really bad hot flashes within 2 hours of actually ingesting the pills.  I usually try to get right into bed afterwards so I can avoid them....but I don't always fall asleep right away.

AFM, I'm solidly in the TWW, 7dpo or 8dpo I think.  I ordered some early IC tests online, so just biding my time until they get here and I can pee on something cheap wink1.gif  I'm still going to try and hold off until I miss my period, but I don't want to feel guilty for breaking down and testing if I get the urge to.

I'm on CD11 today, finished taking soy and not one symptom so far.  I'm already thinking that this cycle is a dud.  :(

I was feeling the same way, but my signs showed up in a big way today (CD 15). Soy can cause late ovulation, although anywhere from CD 14-17 is not unusual for me. Not sure if you're a "textbook" ovulator or not. lol.gif Don't give up yet.

Thanks for the encouragement Amanda.  I'm really hoping for some massive O signs, but the lack of anything makes me doubtful.  I guess I'm just in a hurry to see something happening already!  LOL

Well, my big symptoms only lasted a day. Pretty sure I O'ed yesterday, and we had poor BD timing so I'm being pessimistic and assuming this cycle is a bust. I guess I'll do soy again next cycle since I still have a big bottle. I don't think it's hurting anything b/c I'm still O'ing, but the two cycles (including this one) where I've taken it haven't been anything spectacular. The first cycle I had way more symptoms than this cycle, even though I had the same dosage amount. IDK, I'm just so tired of over-analyzing everything. I want pregnancy to be easy again!

No signs of O.  None, at CD15.  I think this cycle is a bust too.  I just wish I could stop obsessing about every twinge and ache and relax through the rest of the cycle so we can try again next month.

I agree Amanda, I wish making babies could just be fun instead of the constant hoping for a BFP!  smile.gif
