Smiley "codes" are still not working for me

I saw that they were supposed to be working now, and I do see smileys in some people's posts (don't know if they typed the code or clicked), but in other people's posts, including my own, I only see the code.  :lol does not show up as a purple laughing face for me, and I really miss being able to type out smileys.  I don't use the smiley button because it's just way too much work.

Is there a reason this is only working for some of us?

Hi! The reason this is different is because there are two different post editors offered. If you are using the default editor which is called Rich Text, you currently do need to manually open the smilie box and click on each smilie to place in your post. We are hoping to improve upon this feature, but for now, you do have to open the smilie box in the default editor. If you select the BB Code editor (which is similar to our old editor box), you can type in the code for the smilies like you are used to without having to manually place each smilie. I recommend the BB Code version for anyone who might be encountering glitches in the Rich Text editor or who wants to type smilie code without having to open up the smilie box.
