CLO and butter oil question need explanation in lay terms

Hi I am still not understanding CLO and butter oil, can someone explain to me what they do together? My family was taking blue ice raw fermented CLO  until I read an article saying its not effective without butter oil. My son is dairy/soy intolerant since birth but seemingly ok when I give him a little good butter but I'm still afraid to give him any big amount as he's 2 now and I don't know what his symptoms would be since he's been symptom free since infancy. He use to get bloody poop or green and bumps, red cheeks among other things. Anyway, I just went on. All I want to know is what butter oil to take with CLO, why is CLO alone not effective and other info I need.

I don't know, either!  I hope someone can answer.  I would go ahead and keep taking the CLO, I can't imagine that it does *nothing* without butter oil.

I googled it for you:

Dr. John J. Cannell, Executive Director of the Vitamin D Council, explains the need for K2 (butter oil) with vitamin D is so vitamin D knows when to calcify something and when not to calcify something.  K2 lets D know to calcify bone and teeth and not to calcify arterial walls.

ETA: Also, these videos with another doctor explaining the purpose of K2 and other foods you can find it in.

Thank I watched. So what happens if you ONLY take CLO? Your bones don't get the calcification?

Also what butter oil do others take with blue ice RAW fermented CLO? One other question, it says to store the CLO in a cool dark place, where do others store theres? I was placing it on side door of fridge all these years....

I'm not an expert, but I believe that if you are not taking butter oil or otherwise getting optimal amounts of K2, then your vitamin D is not used as efficiently or as well as it could be.  Going by what the videos said, you could risk arterial calcification (though I don't know if an increase in vit D would increase that risk or not) if you are not getting enough K2.

I'm currently in the research phase with butter oil/K2 supplementation and all we have are regular CLO softgels b/c I hadn't quite gotten to weighing fermented or non-fermented.  Nor have I come to a true conclusion on the optimal balance of vitamin A & D yet.  Sorry I can't be of more help!
