Jack-in-the-box search

Thread Starter

Hi, my son is requesting a jack in the box toy for christmas , the only thing he has said he wants and answers this every time someone asks him. It needs to play music. I have no idea where he came up with this. I can't find one used, all the internet searching i did came up with is "made in china". I really try to avoid buying new things made in china. Any ideas? I thought perhaps others with toddlers might know about them.

The only ones that I've ever seen came from The Learning Express. I know they have a website. Good luck!

I noticed that Target had a couple of Jack in the Box..  Here's one.

I can't speak for the quality or the manufacturing location. Target is incredibly specific "Made in USA or imported" rolleyes.gif

I'm getting DD one made by Schylling Toys.  I can't tell from Amazon where they are made, but I saw them for sale at Whole Foods recently and they are very particular about the toys they carry.  I have a mop and broom set from the company, and they seem to be good quality.

i saw musical ones at target in the fisher price "vintage-y" toy section. not sure where manufactured though. one was a clown and one was a sock monkey.

There's a very large local baby/children's store near me called Goore's and they also carry the Schylling Jack in the Boxes. It doesn't say where they are made, but just like Whole Foods they are pretty particular about what they carry. http://www.goores.com/goores/product.asp?s_id=0&prod_name=Schylling+Jack+In+The+Box+Toy&pf_id=PADCIACECKDNGNGA&dept_id=3116#Description

This schylling jack in the box is going  under the tree for my toddler, i live in canada and bought it these rural toy stores that sell upscale wooden toys and things like that. I got the traditional jack in the box, but lovely chime and sound and feels durable, i reccommend it!!
