Oh, I'm dreading researching carseats again, I'd like a starting point. Can I get some recommendations on a seat for my 8mo old? He's tall, ave wt and we currently have a britax (comfy). He's recently started hating being in it unless sleepy, so I want something good for sleeping, but maybe something he can still easily see out of? The only one I'm thinking now is the Radian since I know it's tall and safe. Money is not a huge issue since it will be a gift from parents (thank goodness!)

Radians are comfy, though hard to install RF in some vehicles, and impossible in others. Â The problem is that it can be very difficult to get it at a more upright angle than 45*, which makes it take up TONS of room front-to-back, sometimes making the front passenger seat unusable. Â What kind of car will the Radian be in? Â We have one and DS is quite comfy in it. Â In our CR-V, I'm hard pressed to get it more upright than 45*, but in our smaller Corolla, it's super easy to get it at a 30* angle, leaving me lots of room up front!
Â
The True Fit is also very plush and has a very tall shell. Â It's easier to install at a more upright angle than the Radian, which is a huge plus.
Â
The Complete Air is not quite as plush, but are also great for tall babies, since they have the tallest shells of all (just a hair taller than the Radian). Â They are also very easy to install at a more upright angle.
Â
Since each of these three seats has a super tall shell, any one of them is likely to keep your son RF until 3+ and FF until boostering age. Â

Is the RF angling a problem in the CRV bc the seat depth? If that's the case I might have an issue there, I have a pilot and the seats are not deep. Also, he does not like laying on his back so I was hoping for something more upright (and as stated, that saves room, too). The truefit does sound appealing. hmmm....
