So, is being this slow the new normal?

I can put up with all the changes, but not the slow loading of every.single.page.  I'm so sad, because this used to be my go-to place on the net and now, I just have no desire to visit.  I've waited, hoping it was just a bug to be worked out, but nothing has changed.  Is there any hope for pages loading as quickly as they did before?

Hi, homemademom! We're working hard to optimize the community experience. We are actively working on the database, and speed will be affected at certain times of the day. The timing of these slower periods depends on when changes are being placed. Sometimes it may be an ongoing occurrence because we're doing so many things. We hope that this will occur less and less as we resolve the reported problems, add features and optimize the server for speed. I'm really sorry that speed issues are affecting your participation. Have you tried clearing your computer's cache and cookies recently? Clearing these can often help maximize your browsing speed.
