Had to Disable Avatars

And I didn't want to do it. I like seeing them, but alas, it is not to be for me!  You see I surf equally as much on my iPhone as well as on a Mac (and if I'm at work, then even possibly on an iPad) It's the iPhone that is giving me the issue. 

You see, the avatar's load as you scroll down which is fine on the mac. The iPhone however 'stutters' loading each avatar as you scroll down making it very difficult to read fluidly. So I turned avatar's off which makes me sad.  It's hard telling who people are without them. 

So I guess my point of this is to ask if maybe there is something that can be done so I can turn them back on? Thanks!

I'll ask to see if there's anything that might improve the viewing experience with the iPhone. I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're having with the stuttering. We expect, down the road, to have a mobile phone version, but we don't have a date at this point.

Lauren, would you please tell us more about your iPhone? I have avatars enabled and when viewing with my iPhone I am not experiencing any "stuttering" or anything that interferes with reading. So for us to test the issue we need to know what iPhone and OS you are using so we can have someone with the same try to duplicate the behavior.

HI sorry about the late reply. I didn't realize you had posted again! I have a iPhone 4 with 4.2.1. I checked on my dh's 3gs and to be honest the problem was a little better, but still noticeable. I made a video of it and I can post a link if you would like? Thanks for helping me with this!
