where to buy fleece jacket for toddler

I'm not sure this is the correct place to post this, but since I'm shopping for a toddler, well, here goes . . .

I want to get a fleece hoodie jacket for DS to wear in his carseat during the winter.  I found these two so far, both of which I like and think will work well.  Hoodie 1 & Hoodie 2  I found them both for sale on diapers.com, but both are out of stock in DS's size.  I need to get the coat soon, as temps are dropping & it would be nice to have it.  I don't know where to shop for something like this.  Where else can I buy a decent fleece jacket?  Any I have seen in person in stores (other brands than listed above - I've checked Target & Old Navy) seem thin & not worth it.

Any suggestions on where to shop - online or real brick & mortar store?

Maybe I should just order the Columbia one directly from their site, but it seems so much more expensive - it was $10 cheaper on the diapers.com site.

Help!  I feel like I don't know how to shop for this stuff!! shy.gif

19mo DS has been wearing his fleece zip up hoodie from Target for weeks now, it was $7 :)

I'd check baby gap if you have one around. You can usually find a few of their hoodies in the clearance section or at least on sale.

Heavy fleece jackets are usually pretty pricey.  The Columbia one looks like its priced pretty reasonably.  Here are two more examples to give you a bit of a price comparison:

Land's End warmest fleece

LLBean's version

Most of the fleece I see online (including places like Baby Gap and Hannah Andersson) are thin sweater-like fleece, not jacket quality.

Another online place you can check is Sierra Trading Post.  Or try googling (go to google shopping) the specific Columbia Jacket you are looking for and you might find a better price.  Or check Amazon (usually free shipping!).

Here is the google search results.

We love Mountain Equipment Co-op.  have bought lots of fleece there and loved the one piece fleece suit for DS the last 2 winters in the car. Unfortunately he is too big for the one piece but he wears the jacket and vest and am going to be getting him some pants.

I have a baby Gap coat that I got second hand for DD, and it's GREAT! It has a bunch of features. For example, the hood snaps off, the fur lining on the hood zips off..It has an extra fastener inside to keep snow out and warmth in..It keeps her very warm.

I'd try Baby Gap or Children's Place. I like the ones from the Gap. They're super thick. DH got one for DD last year on sale for $4.99.
