I'm having an issue that I can't seem to get to the bottom of, and figured some moms on here might be able to help me.
Â
My boobs are killing me.
Â
I've been nursing for over 4 years straight, and I've had my share of infections, clogs, etc., but this doesn't seem to be like anything I've had before.
Â
Both my breasts on each side are tender and sore all over. The nipples are very sensitive, but not particularly painful. The only thing I can compare it to is the ache I had during my first pregnancy as my breasts swelled. I didn't have that with my second pregnancy, most likely because I never stopped breastfeeding from the first. Now I'm tandem feeding, but have these achy boobs.
Â
I have no signs of infection (no fever or cold-like symptoms, no red marks or lines, no bumps or super painful spots/lines/ducts). Could it be an infection? One side is a little worse than the other, but honestly, both hurt.
Â
I pump a couple times a day at work, and feed on demand when at home. Both girls eat well, and I get a good amount from the pump, so that doesn't seem to be the issue.
Â
Any thoughts on what is going on? This pain is low level but constant, and is driving me crazy!
