Year-old Thirsties covers leaking more often

Is there anything I can do? Seems to be out the legs, and maybe it's only when 19mo DS is SOAKED. Generally that seems to be the case so that makes sense. If not, are they just old? They are the main cover we've used for more than a year (in the current size), and they are rarely heat dried. I haven't noticed any cracking or pealing of the inside.

If the diaper is soaked, it will leak out the legs no matter what.  Babies often become heavier wetters as they get older, so I would change more often or use more absorbent diapers.
