White background issue

I know this has been talked about before and it is something that is being worked on but I was just thinking about it while looking at my subscription page, the background for the threads is a blue/green. I dont know anything about the technical aspect but would it be possible to bring that color theme over to the board? There would still be some white but the main message body would be the blue/green.

Not sure if it would help anyone that much but to me it makes it a lot easier to read on that page. I know there are some posters who are avoiding the boards due to the white background causing them pain I dont stay on as much as I used to because of it either. So I just thought I might mention it. No harm in mentioning it right?

Hi, thank you for the input! I know we're trying to stay within the existing colors, and we're consulting with Mothering's designers regarding this. So, thanks for the suggestion, and I'll make sure to let everyone know if any changes are planned.

Just wanted to add in here that I saw this and opened it hoping for some good news!

I have been avoiding the forum because it really is very hard to look at for too long.  I hope the tan comes back soon!

Yes, I see you have the light green background in some places, and you have the tan background in the box at the top of this forum.  So obviously those colors can be used.  Would it be possible to poll MDC members, and see which background they would prefer for the whole board?  I don't really understand why it hasn't been switched from white yet, since so many people hate it, and there are actually members with vision problems who are no longer able to read the board at all.

We're currently working with Mothering's designers before making any decision about altering any colors. We've discussed polling the community, but in order to do so, we'd have to have final choices ready to go. We're not even at the point to have selections to offer up to poll. Some issues just take longer to work out than others, and I'm really sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the current colors. We're sharing all the feedback with the designers, so I appreciate everyone's speaking up to share their perspective. Unfortunately, it's always challenging to please everyone, but we definitely try to take everyone's opinion into account. Thanks so much for your support and for your patience!
