She took herself potty!!!!

I have been waiting for this day for a long time!!!!!  Hannah is 2 years, 8 months, has been a "poop grad" for over a year, and mostly dry since January of this year, and today for the first time wanted to go potty by herself!!!  I was baking fruitcake, and just putting it in the baking pans.  She said, "you keep cooking, Mommy, I'm going potty.  You don't help me."  And she did!  She went to the bathroom, went, pulled her panties up by herself (that's new in the past couple of weeks, actually) and closed the lid to her potty and came back.  She told me to dump it, and I told her I would.  Yippeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

As I type this, I think how silly I am/was to not want to take her potty. I could be changing her diapers!  But it's still very very very very cool that she's doing it on her own!

Woot!  I don't think it's weird at all to be super happy about this.  Dh and I were seriously happy every single time she took herself to the potty for like a year after she was potty trained.  It's pretty funny.  Hooray!  It makes them seem so grown up, doesn't it?

Carlyle, I guess I was just thinking I could be changing poopy diapers still, so shouldn't begrudge the time spent with while she takes herself potty!  She has fun with it!  And your little one is already 2 months old!  Wow! 

Totally OT, but last night she fell asleep w/o nursing.  My little girl is growing up!
