CogAt scoring question -- 2E 7 y.o. dd with aspergers, speech impairment (pragmatics) and gifted

I have a CogAt scoring question. DD is in special education for autism and speech, specifically for asperger syndrome and social pragmatic language.

She is in first grade, seven years old.

She took the CogAt and got all questions right on one subsection, and missed one question on each of the other two subsections.  I do not know her raw scores or her scaled score or her letter. But I am dying of curiosity about what this means.  She completed all of her questions.

Are there any CogAt experts here?  Or, moms with similar scoring?

I posted on Davidson tonight too, in case this question looks familiar.

Cogat really has a low ceiling for IQ. It maxes out in the 130's. 

The whole IQ testing thing is frustrating. But, I have seen one of my children score over a 40 point range. Then one test has a 130 equal to 160 on another and so on? 

If they get 100% correct on the CoGat, they will still only get a raw score of 140 or lower. I would have to pull my children's scores to remind me, and they have not taken the Cogat in the last couple of years but I doubt much has changed.

Just to clarify, the CogAT does not give you an IQ score.  The test manufacturer specifically states that the scores show "developed abilities" not "innate abilities," IQ, or intelligence  The scores correlate with IQ for many people just like old versions of the SAT did, but one cannot state with certainty one's IQ based off of a correlation.  She'd have to take an IQ test.

Without knowing what your daughter's scores were, I can tell you it's pretty common for kids with an Asperger's DX to have high language scores and lower performance/visual-spatial scores. It's pretty common for kids with an autism DX to have high performance/visual-spatial scores and lower language scores.  (We went through all of that when DS was dx'd.)
