Not sure where to post about probiotics for tots? also ? about calcium supplements?

I have no idea where to post this question? I have bought kirkman labs bifido complex for my DS. He is 2.5 and we are looking to purchase probiotics again and am wondering what kind is best for his age at 21/2? Any suggestions. I am also looking for a calcium supplement for his age. He takes a multivitamin but I don't feel he is getting enuf calcium thru foods. I know which foods have it, not looking for ideas with that. He cannot eat dairy/soy, we have tried to reintroduce dairy in varying ways, still not ready. I want to try a supplement for now.

We are dairy and soy free too! It's hard. I try to do as much bone broth, greens, sardines, anchovies, and herbal infusions as I can but i feel a supplement can be in order. We have been using Peter Gillham's Cal/Mag like this:

I put Carlson's D drops in it and mix it into a smoothie.

We do like Kirkman's Bifidus. The other probiotic we have used and had good results with is Klaire Labs Infant Powder.

Right thanks. I think I will try the pro bio gold for him from kirkman. I spent this morning trying to research strains etc. IS the calcium on kirkmans site comparable to the one your linked? I noticed it had to be warm, he would never go for that.

P.S. we do all the foods above too. Minus infusions. I need to investigate that and try.

No, that is calcium carbonate. I would not use carbonate. Here's why:

The Peter Gillham stuff just needs to be dissolved in hot water, it doesn't need to be served warm. Kirkman's Bio-Max calcium looks better.

Oh no I ordered, I have to try and cancel. The bio max is only in pill form, he can't do that yet, says you can't open it. I'll try the one you suggested. Does it say it somewhere on the packaging it can be served cold?

Just a note- I use all the above foods excep the infusion as of late and I had a blood test done and it showed my calcium and magnesium levels fine.

It doesn't say anywhere on the package that it can be served cold but it doesn't say anywhere that it must be served hot. I think it says something to the effect of "enjoy it warm like tea!" but that is a serving suggestion, not a must.

I have contacted the company in the past and the whole put in hot water is important to active the magnesium, but you could just put a pinch of hot in it, and put cold juice on top of that afterwards.
