Had an emergency u/s last night

So yesterday at my doc appointment he could not find the fetal heartbeat with the doppler. So I had a horrible stressful day and went for a u/s at 5pm. The little one is fine though...thank heavens. HB was 172, and they dated me at june 22 versus my date of june 18th so that is insignificant.

So neat to see babe at this point. I have never had an u/s this early before because I generally only get one.

Yikes!!  Very scary!!  What a relief to hear it though!!

But at least she didn't make you wait until your next appt to try the doppler again.  I have read other posts where they weren't too concerned and just waited til the next appt.  But I think I would drive myself nuts!!

I am in the same boat as you were.  Two doctors were unable to find the baby's heart rate yesterday, so I am booked for an ultrasound Christmas Eve or sooner if there is a cancellation.  It is SO hard to wait!

That's what my midwife did.  She tried at my last visit, at 10 weeks, and couldn't find it.  But she didn't seem worried, so I'm trying really hard not to be, either.

10 weeks is pretty early to hear a heartbeat with a doppler. My midwife said at 10 weeks "I can do it if you want, but I'm not expecting to hear anything, and I usually don't bother". I'm declining routine doppler anyway, but yeah. You don't have any real cause to worry at this stage!
