Yea, no. My BMI is 29 so very close to being obese but not technically so. Plus, I believe that BMI is a flawed system that doesn't take body composition into consideration. I do not have a high fat to muscle ratio for example as I have a more muscular frame.

and again to everyone. Thank you so much!! As it turns out, my body is really slowly gaining. At first, I even dropped 4 pounds and now I am making my way back to my original weight. I think I have been eating healthy and getting the nutrients I need (but really not eating more), just burning a lot more calories. I appreciate all of your input so much. Unfortunately, her words have kind of stuck with me and it's something I often think about. But I plan on asking my OB on the 3rd about it and still leaving the practice if I find he's not on board with me.
