Homebirth in downstate IL?

Does anyone know of anyone who has had a homebirth in downstate IL?  I'm moving to the Carbondale area and it doesn't look like I have any options there.  Thanks.

There are no legal options for hb in Southern IL.  However, there are some options for illegal mws if you're ok with that--if so, pm me for details.

good luck!  I lived in Southern IL for a very long time and it is a beautiful place--and Carbondale is pretty progressive, you will be able to find hb and AP friendly people, great LLL group, more (LOL, just saying it makes me miss 'home').

DMGCNM, my understanding is that Carbondale sucks for CNMs.  I'm so disappointed in my hometown--I was born at home with a MD and a midwife attending back in the 80s but now... blech.
